Gobhi Chicken Curry/Cauliflower Chicken Curry

Gobhi chicken or Cauliflower Chicken ….yeah u heard that absolutely right!! Am sure many of you can not believe about the combination of the two but trust me guyz it will become one of your fav dishes after trying your hands on it..
So Do give it a try and let me know how it came out …
It is the perfect combination of a vegetable with chicken along with spices coating.
A perfect recipe to try out for a change in taste!!!

Ingredients:

  1. Onion-1 /diced
  2. Tomato-2/chopped
  3. Gingergarlic paste-2tsp
  4. Cloves:2-3
  5. Bayleaf-2
  6. Cinnamon stick:2-3
  7. Cumin seeds-1tsp
  8. Black peppercorn:5-6
  9. Turmeric powder-1tsp
  10. Red chilly powder-2tsp
  11. Coriander powder-3tsp
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Garam masala-1tsp
  14. Cauliflower-250gms
  15. Chicken-approx 250 gms
  16. Coriander leaves /chopped -for garnishing
  17. Oil-2tbsp

Recipe:

  1. Heat oil in a kadhai and add cumin along with all whole spices.
  2. To this , add onions and fry until golden brown.
  3. Now add ginger garlic paste and saute for a while and add chopped tomatoes to it.
  4. As the tomatoes turn soft and mushy ,add all dry spices except garam masala
  5. Cook the mixture for 4-5 mins until oil oozes out of the mixture.
  6. Add cauliflower and Chicken and mix nicely .
  7. Cook for few minutes and keep stirring after every minute or two .
  8. Now add a little water (well enough to let the chicken cook properly)and cover with lid.
  9. Check in between to avoid burning .
  10. As the chicken cooks thats around 20-25 mins later and gravy thickens enough ,garnish with chopped coriander and garam masala.
  11. Serve Hot.
