Baingan ka Bharta

Baingan ka bharta is the main recipe which is loved by everyone and make it to all punjabi party menu’s.
A very delicious and quick recipe served with chapatis and your favourite Daal.



  1. Roasted/smoked Eggplant -1 
  2. Tomato-2/medium/chopped
  3. Onion -1/medium /chopped
  4. Turmeric powder-1/2tsp
  5. Kashmiri Red chilly powder-3tsp
  6. Coriander powder-3tsp
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Green chilly-2
  9. Coriander leaves chopped for garnishing.
  10. Oil-1tbspn
  11. Green peas-1bowl


  1. Roast the eggplant directly on gas flame it microwave it .
  2. Remove stem and seeds and keep aside
  3. Heat oil in a kadhai ,add onions and stir fry for 1-2mins and add tomatoes.
  4. Add all dry spices and cook along with tomatoes until it softens .
  5. Add green peas and green chillies and cover lid for 3-4 mins 
  6. Now add the eggplant and mix well
  7. Cover the lid for 4-5 mins.
  8. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  9. Serve hot with chapati 😊
