Imli ki khatti meethi chutney/sweet n sour chutney 

Imli chutney forms a great dip for samosa and is also an integral part of many chat items (A variety of savoury snacks) …



  1. Tamarind pulp-1tbsp
  2. Jaggery-1/2cup
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Asofaetida-1/4tsp
  5. Red chilly powder-11/2tsp
  6. Rock salt-1tsp
  7. Roasted cumin powder-1tsp
  8. Roasted fennel-1tsp
  9. Melon seeds-1tsp
  10. Garam masala-1/2tsp
  11. Green small Grapes/Dates-optional 


  1. In 1 cup of water add jaggery and let it boil
  2. Once it melts add the tamarind pulp and all dry ingredients
  3. Let it thicken and keep boiling on low medium flame
  4. Cook for around 20mins until turns into a consistency of your choice 
  5. Add melon seeds /grapes or dates and serve with samosa /chaat or any other snack.
