Indian Bread/Roti/phulka  Ingredients:

 

  1. 2 cups  wheat flour.
  2. 1-1½ cups water.
  3. Salt to taste.

Recipe:

  1. In a medium bowl, stir together the flour and salt,  pour water little by little until the mixture pulls away from the sides. Knead into a soft dough using water.
  2. Cover and set aside.
  3. Preheat a taava to medium high heat.
  4. Now take a portion of dough and roll into a thin roti in a diameter of your choice.
  5. Place the roti on tawa and Cook the roti for 1 minute before turning over.
  6. Then turn and cook again and cook this side completely
  7. Keep pressing the edges down into the tawa with a tea towel or wooden spoon because the edges cook last.
  8. Then turn the cooked side down on the gas directly over medium flame for a second or two.
  9. Turn the raw side onto the flame and the roti inflates over the heat.
  10. Take off into serving tray and apply a little ghee or butter if needed and serve hot.


Pizza Dough

Pizza dough is the first step for making a crunchiest and yummy pizza that we all crave for .So i bring you the best and easy way to fo it .Once you’ve mastered this easy dough, you’re well on your way to pizza perfection.

Ingredients:

  1. Plain flour/Maida-1 cup
  2. Active Dry yeast-1 n half
  3. Salt-1/2tsp
  4. Sugar-1tsp
  5. Olive oil-2tbspn
  6. Luke warm water-1/4 cup.

Recipe:

  1. In a bowl take 1/4 cup of luke warm water and add sugar and yeast.
  2. Mix and set aside for 15 mins till it becomes frothy.
  3. Then In a deep lined vessel add flour,salt ,olive oil and knead into a dough using yeast mixture .
  4. Add little water if needed.
  5. Knead into soft dough and keep in any greased bowl in a warm place for 2 hrs to rise.
  6. The dough will be double in size after 2 hrs and is ready to use.

Matar paneer

Matar paneer

Ingredients:

  1. Onion-1 /paste
  2. Tomato -2/puree
  3. GingerGarlic paste-2tsp
  4. Paneer-250gms
  5. Green chilly -2
  6. Oil-2tbspn
  7. Turmeric powder-2tsp
  8. Coriander powder -3tsp
  9. Redchilly powder-2tsp
  10. Cinnamon stick:2-3
  11. Bayleaf:2
  12. Cumin -2tsp
  13. Green peas-1 small bowl
  14. Salt -acc to taste
  15. Coriander leaves for garnishing
  16. A pinch of garam masala (Optional)

Recipe:

  1. Place kadhai on gas stove and heat it and add oil .
  2. When the oil gets hot ,add jeera along with other whole spices.saute for a minute
  3. Add onion paste  and fry untill they turn good brown in colour.
  4. Add ginger garlic paste then and cook for a minute.
  5. Then add tomato puree and cook for 2-3minutes
  6. Then add all the dry spices (coriander ,turmeric and red chilly powder) and salt along with green chillies and cook till oil oozes out of mixture.
  7. After 2-3 minutes of cooking add green peas and mix nicely
  8.  cook on medium flame for 4-5 minutes and add paneer cubes to it.
  9. Then add water( acc to your need )and cover the lid and cook until the paneer softens and gets cooked completely.
  10. Open the lid and cook for few more minutes
  11. Add little of garam masala and Garnish with coriander leaves.
  12. Serve Hot 🙂

Matar Chawal 

Matar pulao is a very easy recipe and tastes delicious with any kind of gravy dish or without too . It is a very popular dish amongst Indians and I make it very often at my home .So sharing the quickest and easiest recipe with you !!!

Matar Chawal Ingredients:

  1. Onion-1 /Diced
  2. Rice -21/2 cup soaked 1/2 hour before
  3. Green peas – 1 cup
  4. Oil-1 tbspn
  5. Cumin-1tsp
  6. Cloves -4tsp
  7. Cinnamon stick- 2tsp
  8. Bayleaf -2
  9. Blackpeppercorn:6-7
  10. Salt -acc to taste
  11. Coriander leaves for garnishing

Recipe:

  1. Place pressure kadhai/wok on gas stove and heat it and add oil .
  2. When the oil gets hot ,add all whole spices and saute for a minute.
  3. Then add onions and fry untill they turn light brown in colour.
  4. Add ginger garlic paste then and cook for a minute.
  5. Add green peas and give a nice mix .
  6. Strain and add rice.
  7. Then add water( double the amount of rice )and add salt and adjust the taste as per your need.
  8. Cook on medium high flame  until the water reduces by half .
  9. Cover the lid and cook for 15 minutes on low medium flame.
  10. Open and check if rice is cooked completely.
  11. Cover and cook for another 10minutes on very low flame.
  12.  Garnish with coriander leaves.
  13. Serve Hot 🙂

Masala Tea

Masala tea is one of my favourite drinks that i can not do without and am sure it most of u will say the same when it comes your kinda Tea. MASALA as the name says means spices and so it is a combination of spices along with tea leaves . Full of perfect flavour , aroma and taste.

Ingredients:

  1. Green cardamom:2-3
  2. Cloves-2
  3. Ginger-1/2inch
  4. Cinnamon stick-1
  5. Fennel seeds-2tsp
  6. Sugar -2 tsp
  7. Milk -1/2 cup
  8. Water-1/2 cup
  9. Tea leaves -2tsp
  10. Saffron-few strands (optional)

For making the tea masala :

  1. Place ginger , cloves ,cinnamon , green cardamom and crush it in a mortar and pestel along with ginger.
  2. Crush coarsely and masala is ready.

Recipe for Tea:

  1. Place a pan on gas stove and heat it with 1/2 cup of water.
  2. Add tea leaves and let it boil.
  3. As water boils , add the masala.
  4. Bring it to a boil and add milk.
  5. Boil for 2-3 minutes and add saffron strands.
  6. Strain and serve with snacks.
